Strolling around Bath is like wandering through a three dimensional post card. Cute, crumbly and sleepy, a peaceful overnight stop there provides a welcome reprieve from the exciting but tiring hustle and bustle of London and Paris.
The entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site and our overnight stay in Bath was the highlight of my trip to England. Charming Pulteney Bridge is the oldest in Bath and is lined with quaint little shops. My little brother was fascinated by the water and we watched with mild horror as a window cleaner balanced precariously along the main central window of the bridge, only a small misstep away from plunging into the river below.
Bath is beautiful, especially when its glowing golden in the morning s un. Take a day or two to have a breather from a busy trip and enjoy a quieter pace. The Abbey and the Roman Baths are must-sees, but can be done in a day and because the town is so small, everything is within strolling distance.
