Richmond Melbourne

Sunday Stories 17.04.16

This week has been pretty low-key, as I’m still a little bit under the weather, but it still has been dotted with interesting projects and happy moments all the same. Favourite moments include wandering around Richmond with my boyfriend, checking out pretty flowers at the markets and seeing this elephant zipping down Church Street.

Pillar of Salt

New favourite brunch spot! Pillar of Salt is often recommended as an alternative to the much-hyped Top Paddock down the road. After trying both, Pillar of Salt is easily my favourite of the two. I played it safe with saffron & lime smashed avocado (they had me at lime), but I am making firm plans to return for the 15th century eggs and the unusually appealing bircher. My boyfriend had the Nordic Breakfast Board (pictured), with super fresh trout, a zesty gravlax and pickled veggies. Yum!

I couldn’t help pocketing this pretty pink leaf I found on Church St in Richmond. We had a twenty minute wait for a table at Pillar of Salt, so we wandered around Church St while we waited.Autumn in Richmond Melbourne

Highs

Hearing about two super exciting new projects I have coming up at work. My lips are sealed for now, but stay tuned!

Wanderlusting

As usual, Japan. Jetstar has an insane buy one way, get the return flight free deal at the moment. Tempting!

What was the highlight of your week?
