Wineglass Bay Tasmania

Tasmania

Tasmania is Australia’s smallest state, but it proves that beautiful things come in small packages. Tasmania is an island state, south of the mainland, directly below Melbourne across the fierce Bass Strait. Tasmania’s charming capital, Hobart, is a short 50 minute flight from Melbourne, making it an essential weekend escape. Tasmanians are some of the friendliest people in Australia, and no wonder they’re a cheerful bunch – Tasmania has some of Australia’s most beautiful national parks, some of the cleanest air in the world and the country’s freshest seafood and best wine and spirits.

I acknowledge the Palawa people as the First Nations owners of the lands now recognised as Tasmania. I pay respect to their Elders, lores, customs and creation spirits. I recognise that these lands have always been places of great natural beauty, culture and community.
