One of my favourite places in Brisbane on any given morning, afternoon or evening is the lookout at Mt Coot-tha. Just outside the city in Toowong, it’s popular with tourists and locals alike for its stunning views over the city and the wider Brisbane area.
Grab a drink at The Summit Restaurant and sit on the verandah and watch the sun go down. The more athletic might prefer to go for an early morning run up the mountain and catch the sun rise. Whatever you do, don’t miss it. It’s teeming with families on the weekend, but still makes a nice date – and a nice site for a marriage proposal (such as my parents’!).
