Paros is one of the most charming Greek islands in the Cyclades, and an excellent alternative to over-crowded Santorini and Mykonos. Use my Paros Travel Guide to get an overview of the island, or check out my Itinerary for 3 Days in Paros for some inspiration on how to spend your time there.
The two most popular villages to stay in Paros are the capital, Parikia, and the cosmopolitan waterfront village of Naousa. We stayed in Parikia, but you can easily visit both – and can’t really go wrong. Make sure to make time to visit the charming ancient capital, Lefkes, which is tucked away in the hills.

Whether you’re planning your first trip to Greece or looking to explore more Greek islands, Paros is an excellent choice – and perfect to accompany a trip to nearby Milos.
With a handful of charming, white-washed traditional Cycladic villages, dozens of beautiful beaches and plenty of waterfront tavernas where the food is fresh, simple and delicious, it’s a wonder anyone ever leaves Paros.
Paros is one of my favourite Greek islands, with a handful of beautiful villages to stay in and plenty of beautiful spots for embracing the best of Greece.
