Welcome! The Wanderbug is an AI-free zone, written for humans, by a human (Genevieve!). I write all content myself, based on my own, real, travel experiences.
Sifnos is a tiny island in the Greece‘s Cyclades islands, that flies under the radar. Sifnos is popular with hikers and climbers, thanks to its rugged, mountainous terrain, as well as foodies, as it’s the birthplace of Greece’s most famous chef and cookbook author, Nikolaos Tselementes.
It’s larger neighbours Paros and Milos are more popular, which leaves Sifnos to enjoy a slower pace and dreamlike quality, outside lively beach resorts at Vathy and Platis Gialis, and the port, Kamares.
We stayed in Apollonia, Sifno’s capital, which is perched high up in the hills.
