Sifnos

Sifnos is a tiny island in the Greece‘s iconic Cyclades group, that flies under the radar. It’s larger neighbours Paros and Milos are more popular, which leaves Sifnos to enjoy a slower pace and dreamlike quality, outside its slightly busier beach resorts at Vathy and Platis Gialis, and the port, Kamares.

We stayed in Apollonia, Sifno’s capital, which is perched high up in the hills. Sifnos is popular with hikers and climbers, thanks to its rugged, mountainous terrain, as well as foodies, as it’s the birthplace of Greece’s most famous chef and cookbook author, Nikolaos Tselementes.
