The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful region of southeast Queensland, and one of Australia‘s favourite coastal regions. Located just an hour’s drive north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is a popular weekend getaway for Australians who live along the east coast. The Sunshine Coast is dotted with beach towns like Noosa, Mooloolaba, Caloundra and Coolum, is home to Noosa National Park and the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains. In the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, townships like Eumundi, Montville, Maleny and Mapleton are full of cute cafes, markets and wineries.
I acknowledge the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara people as the First Nations owners of the lands now recognised as the Sunshine Coast. I pay respect to their Elders, lores, customs and creation spirits. I recognise that these lands have always been places of great natural beauty, culture and community.
